Key note speaker and founder of BeGirl, Diana Sierra, will tell her story about developing affordable and high performance products as well as economic opportunities for girls and women.
Thursday, May 28th from 5:00PM to 7:30 PM (EDT)
FHI360, Academy Hall, 1825 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington D.C., 20009
Menstrual Hygiene Day (May 28) was established with the vision of creating a world in which every woman and girl can understand her menstruation and manage it in a hygienic way – wherever she is – in privacy, safety and with dignity. Around the world, millions of women and girls face hardships in managing their menstruation that have negative impacts on their schooling, employment, health and more. The objective of the event is to help to break the silence and build awareness about the fundamental role of good menstrual hygiene management (MHM) for girls and women’s overall health and well-being
