Where to find us: IRH at the 2018 International Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) Summit

The IRH team is preparing to travel to Bali, Indonesia for the 2018 International Social and Behavior Change Communication Summit and we want to ensure our colleagues and partners know where to find us.

We have a number of exciting presentations, panels, and workshops in store. We will present on dismantling social barrier to family planning use in Benin, share the results of an evaluation of a program aimed at fostering gender equity among very young adolescents, and discuss how to diffuse family planning messages through games for hard-to-reach populations in Nepal.

We will also present the findings from scaling-up REAL Fathers — a family violence prevention intervention — share our perspective on transforming gender norms over the life-course of adolescents, and discuss how to diagnose and measure social norms.

IRH team members are also participating in a number of panels that will cover: practical tips on advancing social norms change in AYSRH from the Learning Collaborative, the ethics of norms change interventions, effective scale-up of social norms programming, and reflections on male engagement.

Finally, we are hosting an exciting full-day workshop on norms change theory and an abbreviated mini-workshop. Each will help participants learn the ins-and-outs of social norms interventions.

We look forward to seeing you in Bali!
