Equity, Ethics and Social Change: Real-life Case Studies Charting A Way Forward
For norms shifting interventions, which aim to engage with social inequities and community beliefs about the behaviors that members should follow, ethical thinking and practice is crucial as programs are designed and implemented. This workbook, based on the Passages Project’s experience and discussions with the broader social norms field, can help implementers and others demystify the application of ethical thinking in programming and learn more about integrating ethics into social change programming. Pause-and-reflect questions then focus learner deliberation on ethical decision-making, ending with how the different organizations moved forward using an ethical lens. Learners can use the cases for self and group study.
