CycleTel Humsafar launch event in India a success
CycleTel Humsafar — the SMS-based family planning service based on the Standard Days Method® developed and tested by IRH — launched with a press conference in Allahabad, India on December 10, 2015.
Hosted by Program Officer for mHealth, Nicki Ashcroft and Project Manager Ramya Kancharla, the press conference was attended by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Padmakar Singh and prominent women in the health community: Stuti Aggarwal, Kriti Tandon, and Nishi Aggarwal.
The press event, which featured the story of Geeta in a CycleTel Humsafar video, earned coverage in the Hindustan Times as well as Hindi news channels Samay, India 24*7, and News Nation. To date, CycleTel Humsafar has been featured in over 20 regional publications.
CycleTel Humsafar provides free, personalized family planning via SMS. Users receive personalized reminders about the days when pregnancy is most likely and encourages couple communication about family planning.
