Evidence Synthesis Review of The Grandmother Project’s “Girls’ Holistic Development” Programme
This report was commissioned by IRH following the initial 4-day, realist evaluation workshop held in Vélingara, Senegal, in August 2016. Staff from Grandmother Project and Passages Project, stakeholders from the Ministries of Education and Health, and an independent consultant convened to elaborate a Theory of Change for GMP’s Girls’ Holistic Development (GHD) programme.
The workshop participants acknowledged the need to explore the body of qualitative evidence compiled by GMP throughout the course of the programme’s implementation, to assess the empirical support for the Theory of Change and its success in changing social norms. This report represents this evidence.
