Investing in very young adolescents’ sexual and reproductive health
The article “Investing in very young adolescents’ sexual and reproductive health” published by Global Public Health journal advocates for investments in very young adolescents (VYA) to lay foundations for healthy future relationships and positive sexual and reproductive health, since early adolescence marks a critical transition between childhood and older adolescence and adulthood. It also identifies the roles that policy makers, donors program designers and researchers and evaluators can play to address the disparity, in a world where most interventions focus on older adolescents, overlooking VYAs.
