Linking Community-based Norms-shifting Interventions To AYRH Services: A Guide For Program Managers
While it is clear that social and behavior change initiatives, including norms-shifting interventions (NSI), increase demand for FP services, results are mixed as to the effectiveness of such efforts to increase FP use by young people. If appropriate NSI linkages existed that reduced social barriers, young people could have a viable channel to use services when needed or desired.
This brief presents a four-step process for program managers of community-based initiative aiming to improve adolescent and youth reproductive health (AYRH) to begin creating strategic service linkages with their NSI to improve program impact.
